The form is for ALL ENTRIES AND MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED IF YOU ARE ENTERING THE PARADE.

The return CUT OFF DATE is 30th JUNE, 2024.

All entrants are hereby informed that their personal health and safety along the route is entirely their own responsibility for the whole of the day.

Judging will take place at 12 noon on Carnival Day with the procession starting at 1pm. 

The procession route MUST BE FOLLOWED BY ALL ENTRANTS

THERE IS A ZERO TOLERANCE OF ALCOHOL ON THE PARADE

Necessary temporary road closures for the duration of the parade will be in place so please arrive in plenty of time to avoid disappointment. (BY 11:30A.M. TO REGISTER)

Rules and Regulations pertaining to Maryport Community Carnival

 

● NO ALCOHOL to be consumed after assembling at the Registration Point. Anyone breaking this rule will be removed from the carnival and banned from future entry.

● Please be available to register by 11:30a.m. for Judging. The carnival will start at 1pm prompt.

● Every Entrant or Group must request and receive a number at the Registration Point in order to know their starting position in the parade.

● Please bring plenty of bottled water to drink en route.

● There are DESIGNATED STOPPING POINTS FOR Dance or Entertainment Routines. These routines should last no more than 4 Minutes each time you stop at allotted points enroute. No impromptu stops allowed.

● The Carnival Committee take no responsibility for any person’s health or safety during the Carnival, whether they are taking part or viewing the proceedings.

● Please do not create long gaps between yourselves and the group/person in front of you on the parade route.

● Please respect the property of householders/businesses along the route of the Carnival.

● Please do not drop litter as you proceed along the route.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

THERE IS ONLY ONE LICENCE issued for Monetary Collections on the day of the Carnival, which belongs entirely to the Maryport Community Carnival Organisation; the proceeds of which help towards funding the Carnival the following year.

DO NOT COLLECT MONIES FOR ANY OTHER CAUSE ON THE CARNIVAL ROUTE OR DURING THE FESTIVITIES ON THE DAY, OUR COLLECTION LICENCE DOES NOT COVER OTHER ENTITIES

Please also note if you are fortunate enough to win a trophy, please return before the following carnival in order for us to re distribute.
